Overview - Train of Thought
Across the trading and financial markets landscape information and news will always affect reaction, and therefore price. I set out to create a custom news monitor to fit my needs. There were handful of very reputable and verifiable news sources that would post on their own websites or twitter. But I wanted a unified and aggregated news source, one where I can go about my day, see why BTC corrected -5% and immediately see a specific Discord feed channel that shows all my custom verified sources posting. I was obssessed with having the absolutely fastest speed or information flow to obtain a p95 of sub 500ms.
This program is also where I ventured into looking for payment processing alternatives, there was a known 3% payment support for Discord bots which I figured I could develop on my own with minimal costs. I developed a lightweight zero cost payment processor to support this service, one that would verify stablecoin or crypto payments, and accurately assign them an active monthly membership, all on chain at essentially 0 cost.
